I'm heading out of town for the holidays later on this morning/afternoon. I have a few articles up to read:
- An incredibly depressing letter from Hogwarts, telling a young witch she's being waitlisted, part of a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of educating women
- Short filmmakers can license a Stephen King story for $1, as long as you follow his rules
- An older article that someone shared, and the least surprising news ever: peer review might be keeping breakthrough results from being published
- And lastly, these Ohio parents who gave their son's teachers bottles of wine with his picture on the label, and a caption:
Happy holidays, everyone! I'm driving into cold temperatures and lots of snow, so I'm packing a ton of books and my laptop (and lots of sweaters and yoga pants), and planning to spend much of my time reading and writing.
